US-12 / McNary Pool to Old Highway 12 & Clarkston Paving

US-12 from SR-128 to Diagonal St. Intersection milepost 432 to 434 Monday through Friday from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. crews will be removing the existing curb and installing new curb and curb ramps. One lane will be closed and traffic will be piloted through the work zone. Drivers should use caution and expect delays.

Project Description:
This project will mill out the existing asphalt and pave back new HMA on three section of US-12.

I-82 Columbia River Bridge - EB Truss Deck Replacement

:
I-82, eastbound is reduced to one lane across the Columbia River bridge into Oregon 24/7. Westbound traffic across the Columbia River Bridge into Washington is reduced to a single lane with a 14 foot width restriction 24/7.  Speed limit is reduced to 40 mph through the work zone.

Project Description:
This project will remove the deck off the truss section of the eastbound bridge across the Columbia River into Oregon. The work will also upgrade the electrical system and pavement markings across the bridge. Traffic will be detoured onto the westbound bridge during the majority of this multi-session project.



Tri-Cities Vicinity Paving, I-S Improvements & ADA

Current Week Traffic Advisory
SR-240, between the Blue Bridge and Columbia Center Blvd Interchange: At Edison Interchange on Monday August 14 from 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., crews will be paving the roadway. Ramps will be temporally closed throughout the night. 

SR-240 Aaron Dr. MP 34 to Stevens  RD Intersection 31: Monday through Friday on SR-240 westbound from 6 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. and eastbound from 6 p.m. to 11 a.m. there will be intermittent night lane closures as crews plane the existing asphalt and install new HMA.

Project Description:
This project will grind out and repave the roadway from Foster Wells Intersection to I-182 interchange on US-395. On SR-240 from Jadwin to Arron Drive and from the Blue Bridge and Columbia Center Blvd Interchange. Signals will be installed at Kingsgate Way and Hagen Robertson intersection on SR-240.



Maintenance/Utility Operations:
US-395 both directions milepost 27: Wednesday Aug 17 between 7 a. m. and 4:30 p.m. there will be lane closures for installing road sensors.

This is a City of Pasco utility project, and the City of Pasco’s contractor will be completing the pavement restoration as part of a new water main under the SR-397 (Oregon Avenue) roadway between MP 20.47 and MP 21.86.

I-90 468th Ave. SE to W Summit Rd EB – Rehab Concrete, Deck Rehab, Culvert Rehab (mileposts 34 to 52)

Current Week Traffic Advisory:
Eastbound:
Drivers can expect lane closures from milepost 34 near North Bend to milepost 52 near the summit of Snoqualmie pass 24 hours a day seven days a week. Drivers should plan for added travel time through this area.

Westbound:
Drivers can expect day and night time lane closures from the summit of Snoqualmie pass to milepost 45,  Monday through Friday. Delays can be anticipated. Implementation of the westbound traffic split is underway, drivers can expect traffic shifts and minor delays.

Project Description:
This project will provide for rehabilitation of the eastbound lanes of I-90 from the 468th Avenue Interchange in North Bend to the West Summit Road at Snoqualmie Pass (milepost 34 to milepost 52). Work will consist of concrete panel replacement, concrete pavement grinding and culvert rehabilitation to maintain drainage. Also included in the work is the
rehabilitation of bridge decks 90/91S eastbound at Snoqualmie River, 90/96.5N westbound at Denny Creek, the Denny Creek Viaduct Bridge 90/97.2N westbound and Bridge 90/97.7N westbound at Franklin Falls.

I-90 Hyak to Keechelus Dam Phase 1C – Replace Snow shed and Add Lanes (mileposts 57 to 60)

Current Week Traffic Advisory:
Nighttime:
Monday evening August 14 through Saturday morning August 19 westbound traffic will be reduced to a single lane during nighttime hours. Minimal
delays are anticipated.  

Daytime: Monday through Friday, both directions of traffic should prepare for intermittent rolling slowdowns. Minimal delays are anticipated. 

Scheduled rock blasting related closures: 
• Tuesday August 15, 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
• Wednesday August 16, 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
• Thursday August 17, 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. 

Closures are planned to last one hour, it is always possible that clean up efforts could take longer if more material comes down than predicted.

Eastbound traffic will be stopped at Gold Creek milepost 56, westbound traffic will be stopped at milepost 61 Price Creek. No services are available past exit 53 eastbound and exit 70 westbound during blast closures. Anticipate one hour or more of added travel time.

Bicycle Alternate Route: I-90 is closed to bicycles in both directions
between the Hyak interchange (Exit 54) and Stampede Pass interchange (exit 62) because there is no shoulder for bicycles to use.

Project Description:
Crews are building a wider and more reliable five-mile stretch of I-90 from Hyak to Keechelus Dam by adding lanes, replacing and adding bridges, stabilizing rock slopes and replacing the snow shed with avalanche bridges. 



I-90 Keechelus Dam to Stampede Pass Phase 2A – Add Lanes / Build Wildlife Bridges (mileposts 62 to 69)

Project Description:
This project provides for the improvement of 2.5 miles of I-90 from Keechelus Dam to the Price Creek Rest Area. The existing four lane facility will be replaced with a new six lane highway which includes several new bridges, drainage structures, chain up areas, illumination and ITS facilities and a wildlife overcrossing structure.

Westbound: 
Monday evening through Saturday morning, traffic will be reduced to a single lane from 8 p.m. to 9 a.m. Minimal delays are anticipated. 

Westbound Indian John Rest Area Closure: Sunday August 13 through Friday Aug. 18, the westbound rest area is closed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. A temporary rest area for cars only will be available in Cle Elum, Exit 84.  Trucks will need to use Exit 53 near the summit.

Bicycle Alternate Route: I-90 is closed to bicycles in both directions
between the Exit 93 at Elk Heights and Cle Elum because there is no shoulder for bicycles to use.

Project Description:
This two year project provides for the improvement of 6 miles of westbound Interstate 90, located approximately 5 miles east of Cle Elum, by replacing the concrete pavement.



US-97 MP 134– Dolarway Intersection – Intersection Improvements

Current Week Traffic Advisory:
The intersection, although still in construction, is now in a roundabout configuration, instead of a four-way stop. Please make sure to turn right when entering the roundabout.

Project Description: This project replaces the existing Dolarway Intersection on US-97 at MP 134 with a roundabout. The project will also add a right turn lane on the I-90 westbound off ramp and an additional lane on US-97 northbound. The project will update drainage, sidewalks, illumination and landscaping.

Project Description:
This project will replace guardrail along I-90 east and westbound from MP 136.0 to 137.5. Damage occurred from a recent fire in the area. Construction is expected to be completed within 30 days to complete.

SR-124  Monument DR/RR Xing – Construct Bridge milepost 5

Project Description:
This project will construct a bridge over the Union Pacific railroad crossing to allow SR-124 traffic to cross above the railroad. Monument Drive will reconnect to SR-124 west of its current location. Moving the intersection will improve safety for traffic entering SR-124 at milepost 5.

US-12 / SR-823: Old Naches Highway Vic to I-82 and SR-823 /Yakima to Selah – Paving

North 1st Avenue bypass to Selah will be closed Monday night for striping work. Traffic will be shifted to westbound I-82 on ramp to SR-823 off ramp to Selah. 

Project Description:
This project provides for the improvement of 4.99 miles of US 12 from milepost 197.76 to 202.75 and on SR 823 from milepost 0.00 to 0.67. Work will consist of milling the existing asphalt pavement, bridge repair, paving and other minor work.

SR-24 milepost 15 to 36 &  SR-410 milepost 69 to milepost 116

SR-410 milepost 69 to milepost 116:
  Saturday August 12 and Monday August 14 crews will have multiple sections on SR-410, where traffic will be reduced to one lane and traffic will be piloted through the work zone. Drivers should use caution and expect delays.

Project Description:
This project will improve various section of highway throughout the south central section of the state. Work will include hot sealing, chip sealing, pavement repair, pre-leveling, pavement sealing, fog sealing and new pavement markings.



US-12 White Pass & Indian Cr. to WildCat Cr. Bridge – Paving & Drainage (mileposts 140 to 166)

Current Week Traffic Advisory: 
Rimrock milepost 166 to White Pass milepost 151: Monday through Friday, traffic should be prepared for alternating one-way traffic control in three separate locations during daytime hours. Drivers should anticipate up to 40-minute delays during daytime hours.

Project description: This project provides for the improvement of US-12 in various location between MP 140 to MP 166 by repaving the asphalt, drainage work and safety improvements


US 12 – Benton REA – Power Line Relocation – MP 164.4 to MP 165 Vic.

Current Week Traffic Advisory:
US 12 milepost 164.4 to milepost 165 vicinity: On the west side of the Rimrock Tunnel, the shoulders will be closed on both sides of US 12. Flaggers may also stop traffic while crews bring power lines across the roadway, delays should be short in duration.

Project Description:
This is utility work where Benton REA is relocating power lines in anticipation of the WSDOT US 12 / Rimrock Slope Stabilization project that begins in September.




I-82 / US 97 – Yakima County Deck Rehabilitation (I-82 mileposts 41 to 42, US 97 mileposts 37 to 38)

I-82 milepost 41:
 Thursday morning August 17, 9 a.m., westbound traffic will be reduced to a single lane during daytime hours. Traffic should anticipate 15-minute delays.

US-97 milepost 37: 
 No traffic impacts anticipated this week.

Project Description:
This project rehabilitates the bridge deck on two bridges in Yakima County. Bridge 82/135N is the westbound bridge that crosses the Yakima Valley Highway at milepost 42, located 5 miles east of Yakima on I-82. Bridge 97/102 crosses Satus Creek, located 24 miles south of
Toppenish on US-97. The bridges will be rehabilitated by removing and replacing the top portion of the bridge decks with a modified concrete overly. Bridge expansion joints will also be replaced.




US-97 / SR-22 Vic to 2nd Ave Vic – Paving & Roadside and I/S Improvements

US-97 MP 61.3 to 74.5:

Drivers will encounter nighttime single lane closures both northbound and southbound on US-97 Monday through Friday from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. Anticipate minor delays.

Expect intermittent intersection closures throughout the week at the intersections listed below:

US-97 & West Wapato Rd/West 1st St. Intersection:
No work anticipated at this intersection next week.

US-97 & South Wapato Rd./South Camas Ave. Intersection:
No work anticipated at this intersection next week.

US-97 & Fort Rd./West 1st Ave. Intersection:
Anticipate minor delays at night Monday through Friday from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m.

US-97 & SR-22/US-97 Intersection:

Pedestrian Access Notification for above intersections:

Project Description:
This project will mill and pave US-97 from milepost 61.27 in Toppenish to milepost 74.45 near West Wapato and West First Streets. Other work will include chip seal of frontage roads, updating traffic signal systems
and ADA improvements.



US-97 / I-82: US-97 – Lateral A to Ahtanum Cr. and I-82 – South of Valley Mall Boulevard - Paving

I-82 Nighttime (MP 37 to 39): Monday night August 14 through Thursday morning August 17, both directions of traffic will be reduced to a single lane intermittently through the week from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. Minimal delays are anticipated.

I-82 Daytime (MP 37 to 39): No significant traffic impacts anticipated this week.

All South Union Gap Interchange Ramps: Monday night August 14 through Friday morning August 18, all interchange ramps will be intermittently closed from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. as crews install pavement markings. Detour routes will be in place using the I-82 / Valley Mall Boulevard I/C (Exit 36), please play close attention to the detour signing. 

Project Description:
This project provides for the improvement of I-82 from MP 36.95 to MP 38.78 and US-97 from MP 74.80 to 76.36 and the associated interchange ramps in the South Union Gap vicinity by repaving the asphalt, rehabilitating 6 bridge decks and modifying expansion joints on 3
bridges.


Maintenance/Utility Operations: 
I-82 westbound milepost 35: Monday August 14 from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., there will be a right shoulder closure on the Nob Hill off ramp for guardrail repairs.

I-82 milepost 24 westbound (across the Fred Redmon Bridge): Thursday August 17 from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. there will be a right lane closure for pavement repair work. 

SR-821 at SR-823 intersection: Thursday August 17,  7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. there will be flagger control traffic for pavement repair work.  

US-12 milepost 138 to 166 over White Pass: Expect single lane flagger controlled traffic for cleaning ditches, falling danger trees and repairing guardrail in various locations daily from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

US-12 milepost 169 (Wild Rose C.G.) to milepost 173 (Rimrock Retreat): Monday August 14 through Tuesday August 15, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. travelers can expect short delays for maintenance work.

US-97 milepost 34 to milepost 46: Monday August 14 and Wednesday August 16 between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. there will be a single lane closure for paving operations.

SR–22 milepost 1: Wednesday August 15 from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. there will be one-way flagged traffic control for pavement repairs.

SR-410 milepost 110 (lower Nile) to milepost 81 (Fifes Peak view point) Wednesday August 16 and Thursday August 17 during the day, crews will be doing maintenance work, travelers can expect short delays for alternating traffic control.
