Blocking Incidents
  • SR 410 Chinook Pass: Due to spring snow storms and a construction project in the Mount Rainier National Park, Chinook Pass will not reopen to traffic until June 11. Chinook Pass is closed between Crystal Mountain Boulevard, about 12 miles northwest of the summit, and Morse Creek, five miles east of the summit.
  • SR 123 Cayuse Pass (elev. 4,675 feet) is closed for the season within the boundaries of Mount Rainier National Park between Crystal Mountain Boulevard and the Stevens Canyon Road entrance.
  • SR 410 eastbound milepost 103, 13 miles west of the Jct. of US-12: A collision is blocking the eastbound lane. Expect alternating one lane traffic.
Construction Closures
  • Emergency Maintenance work has Eastbound and Westbound US 2 alternating at milepost 53 beginning at 11:29 am on May 24, 2018 until further notice.
  • On SR 17 Monday - Thursday, 6 a.m. - 7 p.m., expect less than 20 minute delays with alternating one-lane flagger/pilot car controlled traffic and intersection flagging as needed where crews are fog sealing and pot hole patching between SR 282 at Ephrata and SR 174 at Leahy Junction.
  • I-90: There are a number of active construction and maintenance work zones across I-90 this week, which could cause some minor delays added travel time to your trip. Between North Bend and the summit of Snoqualmie Pass there are lane closures eastbound, 24 hours a day through Thursday as crews make repairs to the roadway. Just east of the summit between mileposts 57 to 67, both directions will be reduced to one lane from 8 p.m. to 9 a.m. each night through Friday morning.
  • Sunday, May 20, to the morning of Friday, May 25 - The right lane of westbound State Route 18 between Kent-Black Diamond Road and Southeast 231st Street will be closed from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. daily.
  • Monday, May 21, to the morning of Friday, May 25 - A single lane of westbound State Route 522 between State Route 9 and Paradise Lake Road will be closed from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly
  • Monday, May 21, to the morning of Friday, May 25 - The northbound lane of State Route 9 between 136th Street Southeast and State Route 96 will be closed from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly. Flaggers will alternate traffic through the open lane.
  • Monday, May 21, to the morning of Friday, May 25 - A single lane in either direction of State Route 9 at 108th Street Northeast will be closed from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly.
  • Tuesday, May 22, to the morning of Friday, May 18 - The Southeast 256th Street on-ramp to westbound State Route 18 will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly.
